We believe the Ephesians 4 principle that the purpose of the church is to perfect the saints, do the work of ministry and to edify the Body of Christ until we all come into the unity of the faith and the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Meet Our Leaders

Bishop Curtis L. Shepherd, Sr.,with his anointed wife Co-Pastor Paula Shepherd, founded Philadelphia Christian Ministries. Bishop Shepherd possesses a wealth of ministerial and leadership experience. He served as a deacon before answering his call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His first assignment was as an associate minister at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church of Napoleonville, La. He later joined the ministerial staff of New Covenant Christian Center of Baton Rouge, La., as an associate minister. He was later called to an Assistant Pastor assignment at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He has also served as a Youth Pastor and Christian Counselor. He is a former faculty member of Christian Bible College of Baton Rouge where he taught in the American Association of Christian Counselors certification program, Masters of Theology, and the Doctor of Divinity curriculum.
